Love for some people is very hard to define. There is no one true meaning for this four-letter word. We all belong to a variety of cultures with different sets of beliefs and values, and we encounter different experiences, thus creating our own definitions of love. The movie Jerry Maguire, depicts love as something that is affected by the economic system, making intimacy very difficult. One must be successful, especially the men, in the workplace, to be happy and content. The ever-popular, "You complete me" line in the movie may seem selfish because of the intention of having or needing that "someone" in your life to suit the best of your interests. But let's not be completely negative here. This line may also mean that if people "complete" each other and become each other's better halves, living life would be a million times better knowing that your inspiration is around. However, in order to have that sense of fulfillment in life, both parties must be on the same page. Jerry ends up with Renee's sweet, loyal, understanding and "wife material" character to fulfill what every hopeless romantic would want --- a happy ending.
